Depression Glass |
Depression Glass was made in North America between 1929 - 1939, in the Ohio River Valley of the United States, during the Great Depression era. It was inexpensively & massively produced during that time with about 20 manufacturers producing 100's of patterns in bright coloured glass in; Pinks, Greens, Lime Green, Uranium Glass, Royal Ruby, Reds, Canary Yellow, Amber, Cobalt Blue, Delphite Blue, Milk Glass and many more.
Depression Green Glass |
Depression glass came in many styles, colours & textures and you're sure to find a pattern or colour, perhaps both, to brighten & add punch to your table setting.
During that time some food manufactures & stores gave small pieces away for free, or often sold them at a very low cost to shoppers.
Just a few of the manufactures that produced Depression Glass in the Ohio River Valley :
Anchor Hocking Cameo, American Sweetheart, Hazel-Atlas, Jeanette Glass, Federal, Indiana.
